Recolhimento Garden Viewpoint (contemplation viewpoint) is located within the area of Castle of Saint Jorge, in old Lisbon. It is a flat area, the result of one of the many recesses and levels that arise with the adaptation of the city to its morphology and its ancestral structures, namely the Castle Enclosure Wall. Classified as a National Monument, this project was concerned with safeguarding the Castle enclosure wall existence, contributing to enhance and protect its historical and cultural importance.

For this Garden, we designed an urban sculpture “Admire” (Ref. S14PIA04), and placed it in grass corner, just like a giant frame showcasing the city of Lisbon. The Admire is also a panoramic bench where you can read, rest, socialize, while enjoying a breathtaking view of the towers of St. Vincent Monastery and the dome of the National Pantheon .
