This project was based on a partnership between the companies EDP and Impresa Publishing, SA, within the scope of the “Environment Month” initiative launched by the Expresso newspaper, with the publication of editions dedicated to several themes related to the environment and the nature conservation.

The promoters intended to reinforce this initiative of Social Responsibility, in the areas of environmental and social sustainability, through a physical presence in some Portuguese public gardens, endowing them with sculptural and environmentally friendly PLAY IN ART® urban sculptures, benefiting the city and its citizens.

It was also intended to promote reading habits with access to the online Digital Express subscription, available free of charge through a QR-Code indicated in an information panel.

Our proposal included three typologies of PLAY IN ART® products of the Freedom line, that can be used as an outdoor reading point, which were installed in 4 public spaces in 3 Portuguese cities: Lisbon (2 ares in Belém, next to Cordoaria and to the Museum of Electricity), Vila Real (Corgo Park) and Ponte de Lima (Town Hall Garden).
