This Design & Build project focused on a themed indoor playground, located in a corridor between shops, at Marineda City Shopping Center, in A Coruña. We were asked to design a play area mostly dedicated to children between 3 to 6 years of age, with equipment´s themed to the marine environment, and most especially to the mascot of this Shopping Center, an octopus pirate.

Five thematic equipment were designed, including the Octopus Head (ref. P18TO03), the first piece to be seen when descending the escalators, followed by several tentacles, the “SHIPWRECKED” boat (ref. P18TO08), and the Octopus Anchor Eater” (ref. P18TO01), an interactive anchor with various speed and reaction games. The safety floor was made in place with continuous rubber with red EPDM top layer, to contrast with the predominantly blue colour of the equipment.
