Located in Loulé, MAR Shopping Algarve is the first shopping center in Portugal that combines a Shopping Centre, a Designer Outlet and a fully integrated IKEA store.
MAR Shopping Algarve has unique and diverse spaces that make this center a reference in the south of Portugal. It hosts the largest Primark store in the country, the first Starbucks in the Algarve, innovative cinemas with cutting-edge technology and a leisure concept and green areas open to all.

Our challenge was to requalify several game and recreation spaces in its outdoor leisure area, in order to make them more sustainable and inclusive.
In this context, we supplied and installed various inclusive equipment’s, accessible to people with reduced mobility, such as a carousel, a rocking nest, one rotating equipment and one interactive equipment.
For shading, we supplied and installed a system consisting of 4 tensioned sails and 7 masts in lacquered steel, as well as two “Eucaleaf” PLAY IN ART® sculptural structures, with the stylized shape of trees.

We also refurbished the existing play cave, applying an outer covering in continuous rubber, and applied projected cork on a large wall, which develops on a slope, to which we fixed the “Mar Shoping Sphereplay , an original PLAY IN ART® equipment composed of three sphere towers connected by rope tunnels.
To improve spatial orientation, 9 information panels with the shape of a totem or “inverted U” were also supplied and installed.
