In 2017, the Parque dos Maninhos, in the city of Maia, has been extensively refurbished and an area of 2470 m2 has been intervened. This intervention brought together the banks of the Mogos river stream, providing the space with a safe crossing and landscaping the grounds surrounding the Vermoim-Gueifães School Center.

This intervention also included the upgrading of some pathways, as well as the inclusion of two specially designed Play in Art® tubular slides. It was intended to create a unique playful place, with a differentiating image compared to others in Maia municipality, escaping the usual conventional options.

It was decided to develop two tubular slides with different curves and some translucent elements, which lead to sandboxes, and to place two climbing ropes, attached to the top of the slope, to facilitate an informal climb.
